WHAT IS IT?

FMC's proprietary fungicide active ingredient found in Xyway.

WHY USE IT?

Xyway is the longest lasting disease control on the market.  No other fungicide active ingredient moves in the plant nor lasts as flutriafol, as seen in the data below.

Proactive control of foliar leaf diseases.

Most fungicides last 14-28 days. When flutriafol is applied in the form of Xyway at planting, it is proven to persist in providing control of foliar leaf diseases season long.

Less than 1 ppm of Flutriafol is what is needed to control foliar leaf diseases

➔ Xyway LFR was applied at planting and three different application methodologies were tested.

  • 2x2, in-furrow and 0x0 with 5 gpa of water as a carrier
  • A total of 13 replications in studies conducted over 3 years go into this data illustrating the amount of flutriafol present in all the leaves of the corn plants

When applied at planting, the amount of flutriafol in the leaves far exceeded the required levels all the way up to and including leaves just below the tassel.

Direct impact to the health of the crown and stalk.

A diseased crown from crown rot disrupts the flow of both water and nutrients to the plant. Proactively managing crown rot is part of the system that creates a crop capable of better mitigating common abiotic stresses typical of our growing seasons.

OVERALL DISEASE PROTECTION

  • Foliar fungicide used at planting to control NCLB, Grey Leaf Spot, Common Rust and suppress Tar Spot
  • Foliar disease protection
    80% reduction vs untreated
  • Stalk disease protection
  • Crown root rot reduction

"The ability to apply a fungicide at plant and get long-lasting, inside-out protection against yield robbing diseases is a game changer. By holding off diseases like gray leaf spot and northern corn leaf blight, it offers the flexibility to make well-timed, in-season foliar fungicide applications to address tar spot, if needed. Plus, when you add crop development benefits that minimize plant stress and improve water and nutrient uptake, you end up with a crop that is well-equipped to handle the unpredictable nature of the growing season."
